The wild process of college football bowl game selections goes down all day long Sunday as FBS teams fill slots in the postseason. It all started at noon ET with the announcement of the four College Football Playoff teams and continued with the release of the final CFP Rankings and rest of the New Year’s Six games at 2:30 p.m. The announcements will culminate late in the afternoon once every one of the bowl games is announced.
Of course, there will be plenty off leaks and rumors throughout the day, which is exactly why we are here to help sort through everything. CBS Sports will be with you the entire day updating this page with every new bowl game announcement as the process unfolds.
For now, check out these links as we prepare for the for the top four teams and the rest of the bowl field to be announced throughout the day. Below you will find a complete set of Jerry Palm’s bowl projections along with how the CFP Selection Committee has filled off the playoff and New Year’s Six bowls.

NC State and UCLA in the Holiday Bowl feels like it could be a top-five bowl by the time Tom Fornelli ranks each game at the end of the postseason. Gut says that one could go off the rails.

EIGHT MAC teams in bowl games! Sometimes these conferences on the edges can get the short stick with bowl eligible teams that don’t make bowl games, but the MAC is sending more than half of its conference to the postseason.

Rose Bowl selected Ohio State and Utah
Sugar Bowl selected Ole Miss and Baylor
Committee placed the final four teams in the New Year’s Six. Selection committee then ordered those teams by ranking. Notre Dame and Oklahoma State are both higher ranked, so they play each other, and then Michigan State and Pittsburgh were next in line.
A reminder that Pittsburgh and Utah earned auto-bids to the New Year’s Six thanks to their conference championship wins.

Interesting point brought up on the ESPN broadcast: Do you think that the WR combo of Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson will opt out of the Rose Bowl?
My counterpoint: If I’m an Ohio State fan I might rather see what the 2022 group looks like with more receptions for Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Julian Fleming and Marvin Harrison Jr.
