TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady has announced his retirement after 22 seasons and seven Super Bowl wins.
Brady made the news official this morning with a lengthy post on his Instagram page, thanking former teammates, coaches, support staff and fans.
Brady, 44, is considered the greatest quarterback of all time and one of the best players of all time.
Speculation swelled on Saturday that Brady would retire, but he held off an official announcement to today.
He retires with practically every passing record.
