Cheshire’s largest community event, the 10th annual Ion Bank Cheshire Road Races, returns! Event coordinators expect a crowd of over 1,500 participants on Sunday, April 10. The event features a half marathon, 5K, and Kids Fun Run, all starting and finishing at Cheshire High School. Participants and their families are invited to come early and stick around after the race for the Healthy Living Festival. Runners can receive complimentary pre- and post-race stretching and massages. The Healthy Living Festival also includes family activities and dozens of vendors offering a variety of health, nutritional, and medical services.
The half marathon is a flat course that runs through Cheshire and Hamden with significant stretches along the historic Farmington Canal Heritage Trail. Following the event, participants are welcome to join the post-race party offering food, refreshments, live music, an awards ceremony, and more!
