The pandemic didn’t succeed in dampening the spirit of one of the world’s biggest tech shows. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) returned to the city that knows how to put on a stellar show. This year, as always, Las Vegas was decked up for CES to give us a peek into the not so distant future. We round up the coolest gadgets that were spotted at CES 2022:

Razer Enki Pro HyperSense: If you’re likely to be stuck in WFH mode this year too, you may as well do it in style. Razer’s cool new gaming chair aims to add a new element to your gaming experience that will complement sight and sound. Your gaming is likely to become immersive thanks to the ergonomically designed chair’s 65,000 haptic variations that can be synced to your game or movie.

TCL Nxtwear Air: We’ve been waiting for smart eyewear to truly hit critical mass. TCL’s new Nxtwear Air delivers an interesting ‘vision’ for the category and promises to untether you from large screens by functioning as a secondary display for your phone or laptop. It’s kitted with dual 1080p Micro OLED displays that deliver punchy and vibrant colours, resulting in an expansive, immersive viewing environment thanks to the dual speakers and its ability to hook up with your wireless headphones.

The Freestyle from Samsung: We’ve already seen the home projector category come alive in a post-pandemic world. Now Samsung’s new innovation is likely to cash in on this wave. It’s a projector, smart speaker and ambient lighting device, all rolled into one. It weighs just 830gm and comes with a versatile cradle that allows rotation of up to 180 degrees. You can take it anywhere and project high-quality video on any surface – tables, walls and even the ceiling. Samsung has announced pre-orders (with a launch price of $899/INR 67,000) and we could see this debut in multiple global markets this year.

Sony PlayStation VR 2: Gaming revenues have seen a huge spurt post-2020. It’s a great time for Sony to revive its PlayStation VR platform. If you’re one of the lucky ones who got your hands on a PS5, you might be interested Sony’s new PlayStation VR2 headset and Sense controller. This cool new VR toy will ride on the PS5’s processing power and it features a 4K OLED HDR display and eye-tracking for a more realistic gaming experience.

ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED: Asus unveiled some pretty cool gadgets at CES 2022, including a tablet aimed at serious gamers. But nothing quite caught our attention more than the sheer flexibility of the Zenbook 17 Fold. It can be anything you want it to be – tablet, laptop with a fully functional keyboard or a book. Think of it as a large desktop-style OLED display with vivid colours that you can fold down to a 12.5-inch size and slide into your man bag.

Garmin Vivomove Sport: Garmin’s new entry-level (Launched at $179.99/INR 13,350) smartwatch is a happy meeting place between a smartwatch and a fashion watch. This hybrid smartwatch features real ticking hands that move to reveal a hidden touchscreen display. It’s packed with wellness tools like all-day stress tracking, sleep monitoring, a built-in sports app and connected GPS.

Archer AXE200 Omni from TP-Link: Whether it’s effective or not, this gadget can put on a show for your neighbours. This tri-band Wi-Fi router won’t look out of place in a Star Wars set. It features four antennas that magically fold-out, rotate and seek out the best possible signal. TP-Link has brought in some serious spunk to one of the most boring home gadget categories.
